General Greek Council Meeting

October 13, 2009

 

First and foremost, 

THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR MAKING THE 2009-2010 GREEK RUSH KICK-OFF A GREAT SUCCESS!

-- Greek Council

I.               Co-Chairs

a.     Next Week is TIGERFEST! Please buy your tickets to go to the dance, as well as participate in Golf Cart parade

b.     Fat Talk Free Week

                                               i.     Please attend Pilates in the Quarry in Jerseys!

1.     Wednesday 6pm, look for an email from Leigh

c.      Tailgating event coming up, bring members and friends!

d.     Date Auction, November 12th! SPURS opening up event to all Greeks, all clubs!

e.     November 12th 6:30pm Chili cook-off on Esplanade! Check inboxes!

f.      Concert for the Cure hosted by Gammas November 12th at 9:30pm!

g.     November 10th Drag Show hosted by Zeta Chis!

 

II.             Rush / Orientation Chairs

a.     Conflict on 3 dates, Women’s on weekends, some events conflict (PIKE/AX, Phi Sig/SPUR, PDK/Kappa conflict)

                                               i.     Options:

1.     Multiple frats can volunteer to move theirs, or we all go to Tuesday / Thursday dates

2.     Talk to Teresa and Roberto about it

3.     Many fraternities have events, but some do not

4.     Talk to Rush chairs, send out an email

 

III.           Service

a.     Bri has sent out an email to all service chairs for getting in hours for service. 7 clubs have still not entered hours: AX, Betas, Sigmas, Detl, Lancers, Kappas, O-Phi, Pikes

 

IV.            Standards

 

a.     Please participate in events from other clubs!

b.     October 24th 1-4pm, IM Fields Gaelic Cultural Society, encourage members to make teams of four members

c.      Service events: GIVE participants get Standards points from last year.

 

V.              Judicial

a.     No Report

 

VI.            Secretary

a.     No Report

 

VII.          Josh

a.     Thanks for coming to the Rush Kick-Off on Friday! Had 400 first year / sophomores turning out!
